Inspired by the roots of Afro music with a dash of Tech and Soulfulness, Luis and Myles present.... Afrotek: a new dimension for your house collection. The "Play" & "Attitude" mixes offer variations to the same foundation. Both songs utilize some of the same sounds but take the tracks in different directions. The "Play" mix is based on a soulful tribe feel with a crunchy Tech four to the floor flow. The flow is relentless and because the beat never lets up its progression is changed by transient melodies and spacey effects. The "Attitude" mix draws influence from a deeper side using organic sounds yet keeping a raw flavor. The beat gets deep and the melodies are plentiful but its prominence still lies in the soulful tribe sound. With a dash of melodic pads, the emphasis is left to the African thumb piano and organ that is used in this version. Afrotek is the first of many collaborations to be anticipated from Luis Machuca and Myles Bigelow.
